Dhiren Indravadan Khatiwala

This is the place of Dhiren Indravadan Khatiwala, located at C/181 in the Old GIDC area of Katargam, Surat. We’ve been working out of this same spot for a long time now. The Old GIDC is a bit cramped and the roads are narrow, but it’s where all the action is. Our workshop is tucked away among many others doing similar work. It’s a noisy place with the sound of tools and engines going all day long. We don't have a fancy sign or a polished front office. Most of the time, the front door is just open to let some air in while we work. We are local people and we’ve spent most of our lives here in Surat. The work we do is hands-on and often messy, so we don't wear anything fancy. We handle everything from the actual labor to the simple bookkeeping ourselves. There aren't any corporate managers here, just us. We know our neighbors and often help each other out when someone’s machine breaks down or a delivery is late. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We don't use much in the way of modern marketing. People find us by word of mouth or by just walking through the GIDC. It’s a busy, gritty, and honest place to spend the day, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep things moving and stay focused.
