Our unit is located at P/222 in the Old GIDC section of Katargam. Surat is a busy city, and being in the industrial area means there is never a quiet moment. We have been working out of this space for quite a long time now. The building shows its age with some cracks in the plaster and a heavy iron gate that is a bit stubborn in the mornings. We usually start the day by sweeping out the dust that blows in from the main road. Being in Katargam, you are surrounded by other workshops and small factories, so there is always a sense of movement. We don't have a fancy reception area or anything like that. It is mostly just the work floor and a couple of desks for the paperwork. Dharmesh is usually around, making sure things are being handled correctly. We take our breaks together and talk about the news or the weather. The address P/222 is easy to spot once you turn into the lane from the main GIDC road. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to get done, and the streetlights outside flick on one by one. It is a practical place where we just get the job done. We don't worry much about how things look as long as the work is right. It is just a local business trying to keep things steady year after year, dealing with whatever challenges pop up throughout the busy week.
