Kalasanskruti Import Export Private Limited

If you go down to Chandi Bazar, you’ll find us in the Jai Labh Complex at number 9. It’s a crowded area, very busy most days of the week. You can hear the noise from the street all day long, which is just part of being in this part of town. We do import and export work here. The name Kalasanskruti usually makes people think of art or culture, and we do deal with a lot of that kind of stuff. We have boxes stacked up high because the office isn't as big as we thought it would be when we first moved in. It gets a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives. We started small and just kept at it. There’s a tea stall right outside the complex where we get our drinks. The owner knows our names. Most of our work is making sure things get from one place to another without getting stuck. It’s a lot of double-checking and making sure the labels are on straight. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk about the weather, but usually, there’s a pile of things to get through. We aren't fancy people. We wear comfortable clothes and stay late when we have to. It’s just a regular business in a regular market, trying to do things the right way. We have a small window that looks out onto the alley, and that's about it for the scenery.
