Kala Times

Kala Times sits right across from Green Park in Singanpore. It’s a good spot because people are always walking by the park. Our shop isn't anything you’d see in a magazine, just a regular place with a lot of watches and clocks. We spend most of our mornings opening up and getting things ready for whoever might drop in. Singanpore has a certain feel to it, and we’ve become a part of that rhythm over the years. Some days are slow, and we just sit and listen to the ticking of the clocks on the wall. Other days, it’s a bit of a rush with people needing repairs done quickly. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. It’s just work. We like being near the park because it gives us something nice to look at when the street gets busy. The sign outside is a bit old now, but it still does the job. Most of our regulars are from the houses nearby. They know us by name, and we know what they like. It’s a quiet kind of existence. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. Just the shop floor and a small back room for the parts. It works for us and for the people who visit. We aren't trying to change the world, just keeping the neighborhood on time. It’s a simple living for us. We enjoy the morning coffee before the first customer arrives.
