Garden Silk Mill

Garden Silk Mill is situated in Village Jolwa, right on the Bardoli Highway. Because we are on the highway, we see a lot of traffic passing by all day and night. It’s a very convenient spot for getting our goods moved out to other cities. The mill itself is a large building where we do a lot of the heavy lifting for the silk business. It’s not a glamorous place. It’s filled with the smell of machinery and the sound of industrial fans. We have a lot of workers who have been with us for a long time, and they know the machines better than anyone. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls. Our office is just a room near the main gate where we keep the logs and talk to the drivers. The highway can be a bit loud, but you get used to it after a week or so. We focus on the daily output. There is always silk to be spun or fabric to be checked. We don't make big promises about being the leaders in anything. We just show up, do the work, and make sure the mill stays running. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to switch over to the generators, which is always a bit of a hassle. But we manage. It’s a basic, functional place that does its job in the middle of Taluka Palsana. We take pride in the fact that our material goes out to so many different places from this one highway spot.
