Our business, Jivraj Tea International Private Limited, is situated in an old part of Surat. You can find us at house numbers 5/258 and 259 in the Roowala Tekra area of Baranpuri Bhagal. This neighborhood has a lot of history, and we have been part of it for a long time. The streets are quite narrow and always filled with the sounds of the city. We deal with tea, and usually, you can smell it as soon as you walk into our place. It’s not a fancy office building; it’s more of a traditional setup where we handle everything from tasting to shipping. We do business on an international scale, but we still feel like a local family operation. A lot of our time is spent checking the quality of different tea leaves and talking to suppliers. It’s a lot of manual work and record-keeping. We don’t have a marketing department or a big sales team. We just know our product well and have been doing this for years. Sometimes the logistics of sending tea overseas can be a bit of a headache, but we’ve learned how to deal with the various challenges. People in the neighborhood know us well, and we often have people dropping by for a chat. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we’ve always done here in Surat.
