JAVHN NIDHI LIMITED is based in Ward No. 05 of Village Govindpuraviaa, which is near Palsana. It’s a very rural spot, and we like it that way. We aren't in a big city with tall buildings. Our office is just a simple room in the village where people can walk in off the dirt road. We handle the small savings of the families around here. Most of our work is about helping the people in our ward manage their money better. It’s very informal; sometimes we talk about the weather or the local crops for ten minutes before we even get to the business part. We know everyone’s family history and who is related to who. It’s a tight community. The electricity goes out sometimes, so we keep lanterns ready just in case. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just know where to find us when they need to deposit some cash or ask about a small loan. We write everything down in big leather-bound books. It feels more solid that way. We try to keep the place tidy but with people coming in from the fields, there’s always a bit of mud on the floor. It’s just part of working in a village. We’re here every day, doing our bit for the neighbors.
