J. Milan Designers

Our shop is inside the Millennium Textile Market on Ring Road. We are at D-1195-96. If you have ever been to the market, you know how crowded and loud it gets. It is just rows and rows of fabric everywhere. J. Milan Designers is tucked in there among all the rest. We spend most of our time looking at patterns and dealing with suppliers. It is a lot of heavy lifting with fabric rolls and making sure the colors are right. The market life moves fast. You have to be quick or you get left behind. We do not have a fancy boutique feel here. It is more of a workshop vibe. There is thread everywhere and the machines are usually running. We have been on Ring Road for years. People come to us when they need something specific designed or cut. It is hard work and the days are usually long. We do not have a big philosophy. We just make the clothes and try to get the orders out on time. Sometimes the power goes out in the market and we just have to wait it out. It is not like a shopping mall. It is a real working place.
