In Dekor Furnishers

If you head down Balaji Road near Lal Gate, you’ll find us at number 9/1651. It’s a very busy part of the city, and things can get pretty loud outside with all the traffic going past. We’ve been running In Dekor Furnishers from this exact spot for many years. The shop isn't very huge, but we make use of every single inch of space we have available. There’s furniture tucked into every corner and sometimes it’s hard for us to walk through without bumping into a table or a chair leg. We don’t have those fancy showrooms you see in the glossy magazines. Ours is more of a working shop where things are being moved and rearranged constantly. Lal Gate is a good landmark for people trying to find where we are. It’s a landmark everyone knows around this neighborhood. We usually have the metal shutters half-up in the morning while we get everything started for the day. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so we have a few old fans going to keep the air moving. We aren't much for fancy talk or big sales pitches to the customers. We just show people what we have available on the floor. Sometimes we have a backlog of orders piled up near the back door waiting to go out. It’s a bit messy, but it’s a good kind of messy because it means we’re staying busy. We deal with all sorts of local folks coming in. It’s a practical business for us.
