Hitesh Laljibhai Patel

My name is Hitesh Laljibhai Patel and this is where I run things, right behind Patel Falia in Gotalawadi. This part of Katargam is always buzzing with people and scooters. It’s a tight-knit spot here in Surat, and everyone seems to know everyone else’s business. I started this place because I wanted to work for myself and stay close to home. The workshop isn't huge, but it fits everything we need to get the job done. We spend most of our hours dealing with the day-to-day stuff that comes up. Sometimes things break, or a delivery is late, and we just deal with it as it comes. It’s not a polished operation with a front desk or a secretary. Usually, if the phone rings, I’m the one picking it up while I’m doing something else. The neighbors are mostly families or other small workshops like mine. In the evenings, the smell of food from the nearby houses fills the air, and that’s usually when we start packing up. Working in Surat means you have to be quick and keep your head down. We don’t have fancy brochures or a website. If people want to know what we do, they usually just walk in and ask. It's a simple life, and keeping the business going takes most of my energy. That’s just the reality of it. There are no secrets here, just hard work and long days.
