Hansha Jari Enterprise

Hansha Jari Enterprise is a small operation located at 9/407 on Store Street in Wadaliya. If you walk down our street, you’ll see it’s a typical busy neighborhood with a lot of small shops and houses mixed together. We deal with jari, which is the metallic thread people use for saris and other fancy clothes. Our workspace is filled with spools of thread in different colors, mostly gold and silver. It can get a bit messy with bits of thread all over the floor, but we sweep up at the end of every day. We don't have a big storefront; it's more of a place where we do the work and store the finished spools. My family has been doing this kind of thing for years, so it feels very natural to us. We aren't trying to change the world or anything; we just want to make good thread that doesn't break when it's being woven. Most of our customers are local weavers or other traders who know us from being around for so long. We spend our days winding the thread and checking the shine. Sometimes the machines get jammed and we have to sit there with a pair of tweezers to fix it. It takes patience, but we don't mind the quiet work. It’s just how we spend our time here in Wadaliya. The light coming through the small window isn't always enough, so we have some old tube lights hanging from the ceiling to help us see the fine details of the thread. We don't have any big goals.
