Being located near Tadkeshwar in Mandavi means we are a bit away from the main city buzz. Gujarat Colour Lam Pvt. Ltd. is basically a factory setting where we deal with laminates and all that goes into making them. The drive out here to Mandavi can be quite nice when the weather is good, though the roads get a bit rough after the rains. We spend a lot of our time on the floor, making sure the machines are running like they should. It’s loud, and there is always that specific smell of materials in the air, but you get used to it after a week or two. Our office space is just a small section of the building where we keep the ledgers and handle the orders. We don't have any shiny brochures or a big marketing team; it’s just us making sure the product gets made and sent out. Lunch usually happens together at a big table, and we mostly talk about local things or what’s happening in the village nearby. Tadkeshwar is a quiet spot for the most part, except for when the trucks are coming in to load up the sheets. Working in this part of Gujarat feels different than being in a big town office. It’s more about the physical work and staying on top of the production schedule. We just keep our heads down and try to get the work done right every single day we are here.
