Our place is at 38, Mahalaxmi Row House, which is right near the L. P. Sawani School on Hani Park Road in Surat. It is a nice enough spot, though the school traffic can be a bit much when the kids are heading home in the afternoon. We like being in a row house instead of some big glass tower in the city center. It feels a bit more like home. We’ve got our desks set up and there is usually a lot of paper moving around. The area is quite active, and you can hear the sounds of the street throughout the day. We are part of the Welspun Gujarat Stahl Rohren Ltd group, though we just keep our heads down and do our jobs here in Surat. Most days involve a lot of checking files and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s not the most exciting stuff to talk about, but it’s what we do. We don’t really have any of those fancy mission statements or slogans on the walls. We just come in, do the work, and go home to our families. The neighborhood is friendly, and we know the people at the nearby shops pretty well by now. If you’re driving down Hani Park Road, you’ll find us easily enough. It’s just a regular office in a regular row house, nothing more and nothing less than that.
