Gokul Texprint

We are based out of Surat in the Pandesara GIDC area, specifically at the Central Park complex. Gokul Texprint takes up the units from B-74 to B-77. It’s a big space because textile work needs room for the fabric to move. Surat is known for this kind of work, and we are right in the middle of it. The machines are large and they run for hours. There is always the sound of rollers and the smell of dyes in the air. We spend a lot of time checking the patterns on the cloth as it comes out. Sometimes the colors don't match exactly on the first try, so we have to adjust things. It’s a lot of physical work, moving heavy bolts of fabric around the floor. We’ve got a team that stays on their feet most of the shift. The GIDC area is always full of trucks and workers, so it’s a lively place to be. We keep our workspace as organized as possible, though with so much fabric, things can get a bit messy. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s a factory where we get our hands dirty. We’ve been in these units for a while and the walls have the stains to prove it. We just focus on getting the printing done so it looks okay. It gets hot in the afternoons but we keep the fans going to stay cool and keep working.
