Global Tourz is tucked away at 146 in the Abhishek Textile Market. Being on Ring Road means there is never a quiet moment, but that is just how Surat is. We have been in this same spot for a while now. The office is basically just a room with a few computers and some stacks of paper from old bookings. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to different hotels and transport guys. When the textile market is busy, we are busy too because the merchants need to travel a lot for their business. They just drop by, tell us where they need to go, and we get to work on it. It’s a lot of checking and re-checking dates. We don’t really do big advertisements. Most people just know we are here because they walk past us every day to get to their own shops. Sometimes it’s just one guy looking for a bus seat, and other times it’s a whole group wanting to go on a holiday. We try to keep things moving. The fan in here oscillates and makes a clicking sound that we’ve stopped noticing. We aren't trying to be some big corporate agency. We are just here to help people get their travel sorted so they can get back to work or go on their trip without a headache. It’s a lot of manual work and looking at calendars, but it fills the day and keeps us connected to the market.
