Our facility is situated on Ten Road within the GIDC in Bardoli. We deal with agricultural products, which means our schedule is mostly tied to what’s happening in the fields nearby. It’s a private limited company on paper, but on the ground, it’s just us working through piles of grain or whatever crop is in season. The smell of the processing is something you get used to after a week. It’s a big space but it’s always full of bags and machinery hum. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of what comes in and making sure it’s stored properly so it doesn't spoil. Bardoli is a good place for this kind of work because of all the farming around here. The trucks come and go all day, mostly through the GIDC gates. We aren't trying to be anything we're not. We just process the goods and get them ready for the next stage. Sometimes the machines break down and we’re all hands on deck trying to fix them before the next load arrives. It’s messy and tiring, but it’s what we do. We don’t use any big words to describe it. It’s just agro work. We’ve been on Ten Road for years and we know the rhythm of the place. Just regular people doing a regular job. We hope the harvest is good each year because that makes our lives a lot easier. Otherwise, it’s a bit of a struggle for everyone.
