Shri. Shyamsunder N. Gupta

This place, Shri. Shyamsunder N. Gupta, is really just a family operation based out of Gidc Plot No. 810/1. My father started things years ago, and we’ve just kept it moving along ever since. We deal with textiles because that’s what we know best. The plot is a bit tucked away in the back, but we like it that way. It gives us space to work without too much noise from the main road traffic. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy emails for us. Usually, it’s just one of us answering the phone and writing down what’s needed on a yellow notepad. We keep the books manually mostly. It’s old school but it works for us. The machines at 810/1 have been running for a long time. They need a bit of oil now and then, but they get the job done. We aren't looking to change the world, just want to make sure the fabric is decent for what people are paying. Some days the power goes out and we just sit outside on the stools for a bit until it comes back on. That's just life in the GIDC. We know most of the guys around here. It’s a tight-knit spot. We don't use big words to describe ourselves. We are just a small business trying to stay afloat and keep the work coming in. There's always something to be done, whether it's loading the trucks or checking the weave on a new batch of fabric for a client.
