You can find us at Gidc Plot No. 3303/A. This is where we handle the processing side of things. It’s a wet and hot environment usually because of the steam and the dyes we use for the fabrics. We have been in this specific plot for a while now. The floors are usually a bit stained from all the colors, but that is part of the job. It is hard work and the shifts are long. We have a small group of guys who have been with us for years. They know the machines better than anyone else. We don't really do much advertising. Most people know where we are if they need something processed properly. The machines can be temperamental sometimes. One day everything is smooth and the next day we are spending four hours fixing a valve. We try to keep things moving though. The water usage is a big part of what we manage here. It gets very humid inside the building, especially during the monsoon months. We eat our lunch together in the small break area near the back gate. It’s not glamorous at all, just a lot of steam, noise, and heavy lifting. We make sure the fabric gets the right treatment before it moves on to the next stage. Every batch is a bit different so we have to watch the timers closely. We are just a local bunch trying to make a living.
