At Krish Textiles, we operate out of Gidc Plot No. 4107. It is a straightforward textile unit. We don’t have any fancy receptionists or air-conditioned waiting rooms. If you visit, you’ll likely find me with grease on my hands or talking to a driver about a late delivery. We focus on getting the weaving done. The machines we use are older models, but they are reliable if you treat them right. We spend a lot of time on maintenance because we can't afford for the line to stop. The noise level is pretty high, so we do a lot of shouting to communicate during the day. We have a small storage area that is always overflowing with yarn cones. It feels like we are always moving boxes from one side of the room to the other just to make space. The lighting inside could be better, but it’s enough to see any flaws in the fabric. We have a few loyal customers who have been buying from us since we opened this plot. We don't promise the world, we just provide the cloth they asked for at the price we agreed on. It’s a basic business model. Sometimes we work late into the night if there is a big deadline. We just put our heads down and get it done. The neighborhood is mostly other mills, so we all know each other’s business and help out when we can.
