Glamour Synthetics

Glamour Synthetics is located at Gidc Plot No. 427/2. Despite the name, there isn't much glamour in what we do every day. It’s mostly just hard, dusty work in a hot shed. We handle synthetic fabrics and it involves a lot of heavy lifting and moving rolls around. The plot is a decent size, but we have filled it up with machinery and stock. We spend our mornings checking the schedules and making sure the machines are ready for the day’s run. We have a small team here, and everyone knows their job. We don't have a lot of hierarchy; everyone just chips in where they are needed. Sometimes I’m the one loading the truck if we are short-handed. The floor is concrete and it’s seen a lot of wear over the years. We have some older equipment that needs a lot of attention, but it still produces good fabric. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy storefront. We just want to get the orders out so we can get paid and keep the lights on. The surrounding area is always busy with people and vehicles. We have a small bench outside where the guys sit during their breaks to get some fresh air. It’s just a normal business in a busy industrial park. We don't have big goals other than staying steady and doing the work we have been given by our customers.
