C. L. Bardoliwala

Our business, C. L. Bardoliwala, is situated at Gidc Plot No. C1/3511. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by a lot of other workshops and factories. It is not the kind of place people come to for a casual stroll. The roads are often dusty and there is the constant sound of machinery in the air. We have been at this plot for a long time. The building is a simple structure made for work, not for looking pretty. Inside, we have our equipment and a small area where we keep our records. It gets quite warm in the summer months, but we have some fans to keep the air moving. We don't have a reception desk or a waiting room. Usually, if someone comes by, they just find us on the shop floor. We deal with things in a very straightforward way. There is no corporate talk here. We just discuss what needs to be done and then we use the machines to do it. The GIDC area has a rhythm of its own with trucks arriving early and leaving late. We follow that same rhythm. We start our day when the gates open and keep going until the work is finished. It’s a hard-working environment and we fit right in. We don't bother with fancy brochures or anything like that. People know us because we’ve been on this plot for years. It’s just how things are.
