Amar Textiles is located over at Gidc Plot No. 761. We spend most of our time inside the unit, dealing with whatever orders came in that week. It's a lot of manual labor and watching the machines to make sure nothing snags. We aren't trying to be the biggest name out there, just a reliable spot in the industrial area. The floor is usually covered in bits of thread and fabric scraps, but we sweep up when we have a spare moment. Working in textiles means you’re always busy with your hands. We’ve got a few old machines that still run better than the newer ones we bought. It’s funny how that works out sometimes. Our neighbors at the other plots are mostly doing the same thing as us. We share a tea sometimes when things quiet down in the late afternoon. It's a simple setup at 761. No front desk, just the workshop and a small desk for the paperwork. We don't spend money on fancy signs or marketing stuff because we’d rather just get the fabric out the door. Some of us have been working here since we were young men. You get used to the smell of the dyes and the constant hum of the electricity. It’s just what we do to get by. We don't make any big promises, we just try to get the rolls of cloth ready when we said we would. If there's a delay, we tell you straight. There is no point in hiding it.
