Ghanshyam Roadways

It is always noisy on Ring Road. We are tucked back behind the police chowky in Thakor Baug. If you miss the turn, you end up in a mess of traffic. We have been here for quite some time now. Most of the day is spent handling phone calls and talking to drivers. The office isn't much to look at, just a few desks and a bench for people to wait. We get a lot of dust from the main road, so we are constantly cleaning things off. It’s a busy spot but we like being near the chowky because it feels a bit safer at night. Sometimes the trucks can't get in easily because the lane is narrow, so there’s a lot of shouting and moving vehicles around. We drink a lot of tea to keep going. It’s just us doing our thing every day. Nothing fancy or corporate about it. We know the other shop owners around here well. When the rains come, the road outside gets a bit muddy, but we manage. You just learn how to work with the space you have. If someone needs something moved, they usually just walk in or call us. We don't do much advertising. The name Ghanshyam Roadways has been on the board for years, even if the paint is peeling a little now. That is just how life is on this side of town. We just keep going regardless of the weather or the traffic.
