Gatishvam Mart

We have been operating Gatishvam Mart for a while now from our spot at No. 122 in Thakurdwar Society. Being right beside Balanand School means our daily routine is usually timed with the school bells. We see a lot of parents and kids coming and going throughout the day. The shop is located near Vraj Chowk, which is a busy intersection, so there is always some noise from the street. It is not a very large mart, but we try to keep the shelves filled with the basic things people in the society need. Most of our work involves checking the stock and helping neighbors find what they are looking for. Some days are quite hectic, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing. Other times, it gets quiet and we just sit and watch the traffic at Vraj Chowk. We have grown used to the rhythm of this neighborhood over the years. We do not have any fancy displays or corporate management styles here. It is just a local business run by people who live nearby. We know most of the customers by their names because they stop in so often. The building is a bit older, and the layout is simple, but it serves the purpose. We just focus on keeping the doors open and making sure we have enough supplies on hand. It is steady work and it keeps us connected to the people around Thakurdwar Society.
