Garden Silk Mill Ltd.

You can find Garden Silk Mill Ltd. on the Vapi Silvassa Road, right near Dadra Garden. It’s a pretty well-known spot in Dadra Nagar Haveli. Being near the garden is nice, though we spend most of our time inside the walls of the mill. We are a textile facility, and our focus is entirely on the production side of things. The road outside is usually busy with people going between Vapi and Silvassa, so there is always movement. Our facility is built for work, not for show. We have large floors dedicated to the different stages of making fabric. It gets quite warm inside when all the machines are running, but that’s just the nature of the business. We don't have any fancy marketing brochures or a sales team in suits. Most of the people here are local workers who know their way around a loom. We just concentrate on the tasks at hand. If there’s a problem with a batch, we sit down and figure out how to fix it. It’s a practical environment where people value hard work. We’ve been here for years, and we’ve seen the area around Dadra Garden grow quite a bit. Despite the changes outside, what we do inside stays pretty much the same. We just keep producing our silk and keeping the mill going. It’s a steady, honest way to make a living, and we’re fine with that. There is something satisfying about seeing the finished rolls of silk being loaded onto the trucks at the end of the day.
