Ganesh Mobile & Gift

Ganesh Mobile & Gift is our small place located at 40 Vishnu Park. We are right there on the Varacha Road, near the Lohar Chawl area. If you know that part of town, you know it’s always crowded and there is a lot of noise from the traffic. Our shop is one of many along that stretch, and we sell mobile phones along with a variety of gift items. It’s a small room, so we have to stack the shelves all the way to the ceiling to fit everything in. We have chargers, phone cases, and some toys or household decorations that people buy as gifts. The morning routine is always the same, opening the metal shutters and dusting the glass counters before the first customers arrive. Because we are on Varacha Road, the dust comes in pretty quickly. We spend a lot of time talking to people who are just passing by and happen to see something in the window. It’s a busy environment and we are usually on our feet most of the day. There is no air conditioning, just a couple of fans that we keep running to stay cool. We’ve been at this address for a long time and we’ve seen the area change quite a bit. It’s just a regular shop where we try to be helpful and honest with whoever comes through the door looking for a new gadget or a present.
