J. P. Textiles

J. P. Textiles is located at No. 45- B in the Nirman Industrial Estate. We are over in the Fulpada area on A.K. Road. It’s a busy place with a lot of other textile businesses nearby. You can hear the looms and the machinery from the street. Inside, we have rows of machines that handle the fabric. There is usually lint in the air and the smell of raw cotton or polyester. We spend our days watching the threads to make sure nothing snaps or gets tangled up. It’s a lot of standing and walking around the floor. We aren't a huge company with a big HR department or anything like that. It’s just a group of us who know how to run the equipment. We’ve been at this unit in Nirman Estate for several years. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are more focused on the work than how the place looks to outsiders. We pack the finished cloth into big rolls and stack them up. When the truck comes, we all help load them. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which slows us down. But we just pick up where we left off. We don't bother with fancy slogans. We just make the fabric and get it out the door to the customers who need it for their garments. Most days we are too busy to even notice the time passing.
