Essar Steel Ltd,Hazira.

We are based at I/3 in the Sugar Colony. This is over in Chalthan, which is part of the Palsana Taluka in Surat district. The area is known as 394 305 for the post. Being part of Essar Steel Ltd, Hazira, we have this branch to look after things in this direction. Sugar Colony is a bit of a landmark around here. It’s not right in the center of Surat city, which is actually quite nice because it’s a bit more open. Chalthan has a lot of its own activity going on. We work out of a standard unit in the colony. It's not a flashy setup. We have what we need to get the job done. Mostly, we deal with the logistics and the people side of the steel business. Some of us have been working here for years. You get to know the people in the colony and the local tea stalls. The work can be repetitive, but it’s important for keeping the steel moving. We don’t spend much time on marketing or trying to look big. We just do our tasks and go home. Sometimes the rain makes the roads a bit muddy around here, but that’s just part of being in Chalthan. We’re just a small part of the bigger Essar operation, but we take care of our corner of it and ensure the work is done properly every week without making any big fuss about it.
