Our office is over at I4/34 in Ferrous Towers 1. We are right in the Nandniketan Township here in Surat. It is a pretty large place to navigate if you aren't used to it. Most of the folks working here have been around for years, so we know the shortcuts through the housing blocks. The weather in Gujarat gets really humid, so the fans are always going in the office. It isn’t the quietest place because of all the activity in the township, but we get our work finished regardless of the noise. The desks are piled with files and the coffee machine is usually broken, but we make do with what we have. People think working for a big name like Essar Steel Ltd means everything is shiny, but our spot is just a normal workspace with people typing away and talking on phones. We handle the daily grind of the steel business from this specific unit. Sometimes the elevator in the tower acts up, so we take the stairs. It keeps us moving. If you are looking for us, just head towards the main gate of the township and follow the signs for Ferrous. We have a routine that hasn't changed much over the last few years. It’s mostly about checking orders and making sure the logs are updated. Nothing too exciting happens, but it’s steady work and we like the people we work with in this building for so long.
