Essar Steel Ltd

Our office is B/303 in Pooja Flats in Surat. It’s a simple apartment-style space where we run the operations for Essar Steel Ltd. We’ve been here for a good while now. Being in a flat means it’s a bit quieter than a main road office, which we like. We have our desks set up in the main rooms and use the space mostly for administrative tasks. Surat is a city known for its hard workers, and we try to live up to that. We deal with steel orders and logistics all day long. There isn't any fancy lobby or a person at the front door. If you come to see us, you just ring the bell and we’ll let you in. We have a lot of files stacked up because we believe in keeping a hard copy of everything. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time on the phone, talking to suppliers and customers. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, even when we’re busy. We don’t wear suits or anything like that. It’s just regular clothes for a regular job. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a big shipment to track, but usually, we’re out by the evening to go home to our families. It’s just a normal workplace where we do our best to stay organized and get the job done. We just handle the day-to-day steel business.
