Essar Steel Ltd

Our spot is 906 in Adeshwar Park Apartments. It’s right near Gokulam Dairy in the Athwalines area of Surat. Being near the dairy is actually pretty convenient for a quick break. Essar Steel Ltd has been operating out of this apartment-style office for some time. It feels less like a cold office building and more like a part of the neighborhood. We don’t have a giant sign or anything like that. We just have our space where we manage the steel business. It’s mostly about coordinating deliveries and keeping the paperwork straight. Surat is a busy place, and Athwalines is no exception. We hear the traffic and the people going about their business all day. Inside, we just focus on the tasks at hand. It’s a small team, so we all know what needs to be done without having to talk about it too much. We sit at our desks, drink our chai, and go through the ledgers. There’s no marketing department here or anyone trying to sell you something you don't need. We just deal with the reality of steel supply. Sometimes the elevator in the building is slow, so we take the stairs. It’s just one of those things you deal with. We like the location because it’s easy to get to from most parts of the city. We don't worry about being fancy; we just worry about being accurate with our logs and shipping notes.
