Essar Steel (Hazira) Ltd.

Our office is over on Ichha Mehta Street at number 2/4320. It is right in the middle of Surat, so it has a very different vibe compared to being out at the main plant site. The street is usually crowded with people going about their daily business and traffic passing by at all hours. We have been in this building for a long time now. It is an old-school kind of spot, nothing like those shiny glass buildings you see in the newer parts of the city. Inside, it is just a few rooms filled with metal cabinets and wooden desks. We handle a lot of the administrative work here because it is much easier for people to get to us in town than driving all the way out to the outskirts. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the street sounds, but we have all gotten used to it. We mostly deal with vendors and the local paperwork that doesn't require us to be on the factory floor every day. It is a practical place to work. We do not have any fancy coffee machines or big lounge areas, just a place to sit down and get through the pile of work on the desk. People often drop by without much notice, and that is fine with us. We just take things as they come. Being in Gujarat, the heat can be pretty tough in the summer, but the ceiling fans keep the air moving enough. It is just a regular part of the city.
