We’re located in 706, Sun Star Apartments. It’s right behind Sneh Sankul on Anand Mahal Road in Adajan. It’s a nice enough building, though the elevator can be a bit slow on Monday mornings. We’ve been running Essar Info Tech Ltd from here for a while. It’s a bit of a climb if you take the stairs, so most people just wait for the lift. Inside, it’s just a bunch of us with our laptops and a lot of tangled wires. We do a lot of tech support and data work, so there’s always a hum of computers in the background. It’s not like those big IT parks you see in Bangalore. We’re just a small team in a Surat apartment building. We usually order lunch from the stalls downstairs because nobody remembers to bring a tiffin from home. The views from the seventh floor are okay, mostly just looking over other rooftops in Adajan. We don't have a dress code or anything. As long as the work gets finished, nobody cares if you're wearing sandals. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when we have a big project, but we manage. We aren't trying to change the world, we’re just keeping the systems running and the clients happy. It’s a quiet life, really. We finish up around six and join the Surat traffic like everyone else. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep things simple.
