Essar Heavy Engg. Services (Essar Construction (I) Ltd.)

Our office is over at Mig-C 2327 in the M.P.H.B. area of Bhilai. If you know the Durg district, you know this part of Chhattisgarh is all about industry and hard work. We fall under the Essar Heavy Engg. Services banner, though some people still call us Essar Construction. It’s a practical office in a residential-style building, which is common around here. We’ve got stacks of blueprints and manuals lying around most of the time. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy for that. Being in a steel town like Bhilai, there’s always something moving or being built. We handle the engineering side of things, making sure the heavy stuff gets where it needs to go and works like it’s supposed to. It’s a lot of coordination and sometimes a lot of shouting on the phone to get things sorted with the crews. We don't wear suits here. It’s mostly work shirts and boots because we are often out looking at equipment. The neighborhood is quiet enough, though you can always hear the hum of the city in the distance. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and the local people know us. We don't have a big sign out front, just the address and the work we do. It’s a no-nonsense environment. We come in, look at the schedules, and get to it. That is how we work.
