Essar Constructiuon (India) Ltd.

We are located at F 6/23 in the Nand Niketan township, which is part of the whole Essar setup in Hazira, Surat. It’s a very specific kind of place to live and work. Essar Constructiuon (India) Ltd. operates out of this block, and if you live in the township, you probably walk past us quite often. The air here always smells a bit like the sea and the nearby industry, which is something you just get used to after a week. Our office is functional, meant for keeping track of the different construction jobs we have going on in the area. We aren't big on ceremony. Usually, the day starts early with a lot of phone calls and checking on the crews. Because we are right in the middle of the township, we are never really away from the work. It’s a practical life. We don't use a lot of fancy language or try to sound like a huge multinational corporation. We’re just the people making sure the buildings and roads around here are being maintained and built correctly. Mixed in with the sound of the industrial plants, you can hear us arguing over schedules or discussing the latest delivery of steel. It’s not a quiet job, and it’s certainly not a clean one. We spend most of our time in work boots rather than dress shoes. It’s just about showing up every day and making sure the work gets done as it should.
