Essar Constructions

We are located in the Essar Township over in Hazira, right at D11 Nandvihar. Surat is a big, fast-moving city, but inside the township, things are a bit quieter. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here from the main city center, but it’s where we need to be. Our office is basically a room where we keep all our gear and documents. It’s not a corporate skyscraper or anything like that. Just a practical place to work. The weather here in Gujarat gets very humid because we’re so close to the coast, so the air conditioner is usually running. Most mornings we meet up here, have some coffee, and figure out where the crews need to be. There’s always someone coming or going. The walls are covered in maps and project schedules that we’ve pinned up over the years. We’ve got some old chairs that have seen better days, but they’re comfortable enough. It feels more like a workshop than an office sometimes. People live and work all around us in the township, so it’s a bit of a community feel. We’ve been in this D11 spot for a while. It’s easy to find once you get inside the gates of Nandvihar. We keep the door open when it’s not too hot. It’s just us doing our jobs, keeping track of things, and making sure the construction work stays on schedule.
