Our place is at 9-C, Milan Bungalow, which is right across from the Valentine Theatre here in Surat. It’s a pretty easy spot to find if you are in the 395007 zip code area. We use the bungalow as our main office for Essar Constructions India Ltd. Having the theatre right across the street means there is always something going on around here. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the movie crowds, but it’s a nice part of town to be in. We are a construction company, so we don't spend all day sitting inside the bungalow. Most of the time, our trucks are out at various sites across the city. We handle the building work ourselves and don't really go for any of that corporate polish. It’s a straightforward operation. We have a crew of guys who have been doing this for a long time. They don't need fancy instructions, they just know how to get the bricks laid and the concrete poured. We don't have a big mission or a slogan. We just try to get the jobs finished so we can move on to the next one. The office is usually a bit of a mess with papers and samples, but we know where everything is.
