Our office is at 44-C, Milan Bungalow, which is right opposite Valantine on Dumas Road here in Surat. It’s a well-known area. Essar Constructions India Limited has been here for a while. Working from a bungalow is quite comfortable. We have a bit more space than a standard office unit. Dumas Road is always lively, especially in the evenings with people heading towards the beach area. We usually start our day early before the sun gets too hot. Our office doesn't have any expensive art or fancy carpets. It’s mostly just shelves full of files and some old wooden desks. We handle the day-to-day management of our construction sites from here. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with several things happening at once. We’ve got a small team that has been together for a long time. We know each other's habits well. We aren't a big corporation with thousands of employees; we are just a local team doing our bit in the construction sector. People know us by the address. We try to be honest about what can be done and how long it will take. That’s the way we’ve always operated. It’s a simple setup but it serves its purpose for us and the people we work with in Surat. Sometimes we have tea in the small garden out front. It's just a regular place with regular people working hard. We don't have any corporate secrets, just a lot of concrete and steel to track.
