Essar Constructions (India) Limited

Being out here in Hazira means we are right in the middle of all the industrial action. Our setup is at A-5 in the Hotel Golden Rock, over in the Nand Vihar area. It's part of the Essar Township, so it's a very specific location near Surat. We are Essar Constructions (India) Limited, but most people just see us as the guys who are always on site. Working in a township is different than being in a city center. It's a bit more contained, but the projects are usually massive. You can hear the sounds of the port and the industrial plants nearby all day long. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space where we handle the logistics and the schedules. Construction in this part of Gujarat moves at a different pace because of the scale of the industries here. We spend a lot of time checking on supplies and making sure the safety protocols are being followed properly. It’s hot and dusty out here most of the year, so we drink a lot of water and try to stay organized. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with a sleek office. We just need a place to sit, look at drawings, and make phone calls. It gets noisy, and sometimes things get a bit disorganized when three different deliveries show up at once. That's just part of the daily grind in Hazira. We stay busy and keep our eyes on the bricks.
