Eskay Elevators

You can find us at T/9 in the Umarwada area. Eskay Elevators is basically a place where we deal with everything related to lifts. It’s not a giant showroom or anything like that, just a practical base for our team. Most of our time is spent out at different buildings, fixing things or checking that the elevators are running like they should. When we are back at the shop in Umarwada, we are usually sorting through parts or answering calls from people whose lifts have stopped working. It can be a greasy job sometimes, and we often have dirt on our hands by the end of the shift. We’ve been doing this for long enough that we can usually tell what’s wrong with a motor just by the sound it makes. The neighborhood here is mostly industrial and commercial, so it fits what we do perfectly. We don’t have a fancy front desk, usually just one of us sitting there with a logbook and a phone. We don't use big words to describe what we do. A lift either moves or it doesn't, and our job is to make sure it moves safely. It’s simple work but it takes a lot of patience, especially with some of the older models we see around town. We just keep our tools ready and wait for the next call to come in. That is pretty much our whole day, keeping things going up and down.
