Engineer

Located right inside the Essar Town Ship in Hazira, I spend most of my time here at the New Hostel Building, specifically I3/24. Living and working in Surat has its own rhythm, especially out here in Nand Niketan. It’s very industrial and busy. Being an engineer in a place like this means you’re always surrounded by people who understand the work. I’ve been here for a good stretch now, and honestly, the hostel setup works for me because I can stay close to the projects. It isn’t some fancy corporate setup with glass walls. It’s a room with a lot of papers and tools scattered around. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with all the movement in the township, but that's what you expect in a place like Hazira. I try to keep regular hours, but often I’m still looking at blueprints or fixing something late into the evening because the work doesn't stop. The local food around here is decent enough, and that keeps me going. People from the township know me, and I mostly help out with whatever technical issues pop up. It’s practical, no-nonsense work. I don't spend money on big ads because word of mouth usually does the trick. My address is easy to find if you’re familiar with the Essar layout. Surat is a busy city, but out here in the township, it feels like its own little world. It's not glamorous, but it’s what I do every day to keep things moving.
