Down at 219/3/1 in the B. Bld of Dadra Industries Estate, that’s where you’ll find Vishnulaxmi Textile Industries Pvt. Ltd. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but it’s where all the action happens. The industrial estate is always humming with activity. We deal with textiles, so there’s always lint and thread everywhere, no matter how much we try to sweep it up. It’s just the nature of the business. The machinery is loud, and you have to speak up to be heard over the hum. We’ve got a system that works for us. The building itself is an older one, sturdy but showing its age. We don't mind. It holds everything we need and keeps us out of the rain. The workers here are locals mostly. They know their way around the looms and the fabric better than anyone. We don't have fancy titles or a lot of meetings. We just look at the orders and get to work. Sometimes the humidity makes things tricky with the yarn, but we’ve learned how to handle it. It’s a practical environment. We come in, do the work, and make sure the fabric looks okay. There’s a small tea stall just outside the estate entrance where we go twice a day. It’s the only time we really get to step away from the noise. The Dadra heat can be pretty intense in the summer months.
