We are located up on the fifth floor of Sagun Square here in Surat. If you know the area around Adajan Road, we are right across from where the old BSNL office used to be. It’s a busy spot near Ajaramar Chowk, so there is always something going on outside the windows. Our space isn't huge or anything, but it gets the job done for the work we do at De.sign Studio Inc. Most days, we are just hunched over desks looking at drawings or talking on the phone with contractors. The traffic downstairs can get pretty loud during rush hour, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We started this because we just liked putting things together. It’s not always pretty work; there’s a lot of measuring and re-measuring involved. Sometimes we spend hours just trying to figure out where a single wall should go. People stop by after seeing our sign from the street, and we usually have some tea going. It feels like a normal workplace with papers scattered around and computers that hum all day. We don’t really do fancy presentations. We just show what we’re thinking and try to make sense of the space people have. It’s a local business through and through. We know the neighborhood well and have seen how much Adajan has changed lately. It’s just us here, trying to get the drawings right and making sure the builders know what they are supposed to be doing.
