Dasd is located in the Gokuldham Apartment, room 302, which is right near the Adajan Fire Station in Surat. Being on Hazira Road means there is always a lot of traffic. You can hear the sirens sometimes when the fire trucks go out. The apartment isn't just a place to live; it's where we get our work done. It’s a third-floor walk-up, or you can take the lift if it’s working. The space inside is quite cozy. We have turned one of the rooms into a proper workspace with computers and files everywhere. It feels more like a home than a cold office. We often have tea together in the small kitchen area. Looking out the window, you see the busy streets of Adajan and all the shops downstairs. Surat is a city that never really stops, and Hazira Road is one of those spots where something is always moving. We deal with various tasks throughout the day, mostly on the computer or over the phone. It’s a bit messy sometimes with cables and notebooks scattered about. We don’t have a receptionist, so if the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door gets it. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, though we do get busy when deadlines come up. Some of us have been working here for years and we’ve gotten used to the noise of the city outside our window. It’s a good spot to be in.
