Dalal Dharmin

Being over here at 9/1359 Bhagal is okay. It’s a crowded area, but Dalal Dharmin has been part of it for a bit. There’s always someone shouting outside or a scooter honking. It’s life, you know? Inside the office, it’s a bit quieter, but not much. We have these old desks that have been here since we started. I should probably replace them but they still hold up the computers fine. People ask why we stay in Bhagal when it’s so busy. Honestly, it’s because everyone knows where 9/1359 is. It makes it easier for people to find us without a map. We don’t have a big fancy sign. Just the name on the wall. I spend most of my mornings sorting through papers and taking calls. Sometimes the phone rings too much and I just let it go for a minute to breathe. It’s not that we’re lazy, just busy. My nephew comes by to help with the filing sometimes. He’s faster at it than I am. We don’t have any big speeches about what we do. We just do it. If a job comes in, we take care of it. That’s the whole story really. It’s just a small place in a loud part of town. We like it though. It feels like home after all these years of working here every single day. I usually bring my own lunch from home and eat it while sitting at my desk because it is easier than trying to go out in the midday heat.
