Our office is located at 201 in the Shitaldhara Apartment on City Light Road. City Light is one of those busy streets where there is always a lot of activity, so we are right in the middle of everything. We are very close to the State Bank of India branch, which is helpful when we need to explain to someone where to turn off the main road. The apartment building itself is a standard residential and commercial mix. Being on the second floor means we have a decent view of the street below, which can be a bit distracting when there is a parade or a festival going on. The room we work in is fairly basic. We have a few cupboards for storage and a long table where most of the work happens. We try to keep things tidy, but papers tend to pile up by the end of the week. The light in the afternoon comes through the windows quite strongly, so we usually have to pull the curtains shut for a few hours. We have a small kettle in the corner for making coffee, which we do quite often. The other people in the building are mostly quiet, so we do not have much trouble with noise from the neighbors. It is a steady, predictable place to work, and we have grown fond of the routine we have established here over the years. We just come in, do our thing, and go home.
