Ishaan Engineering

If you find yourself behind the Parsurampuria Industrial Estate in Dadra Silvassa, you’ll eventually see our sign at Plot No. 217/14. Ishaan Engineering is tucked away back there. It’s a pretty busy spot, especially during the monsoon when the rain hits the metal roof so loud you can’t hear yourself think. We do a lot of metalwork and fabrication. Most days involve a lot of sparks from the grinders and the bright flash of the welding torch. We wear our safety gear and just get on with it. The shop is filled with the sound of metal hitting metal and the hum of the lathes. Sometimes a client brings in a drawing that’s barely readable, and we have to sit down and figure out the dimensions together. We keep a lot of scrap metal in the yard because you never know when you might need a small piece of steel for a quick fix. The walk from the main gate is a bit long, so we usually just bring our lunch and eat together inside. We don't bother with fancy presentations. We just show people what we’ve built and let them see the quality for themselves. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with oil spills here and there, but we clean up at the end of the shift. We’ve been at this for a while and we know the machines inside and out.
