Cizer Quartz

Cizer Quartz is located up at 412 Harinagar Tower Road. It’s a bit of a climb or a lift ride depending on how you’re feeling that day. The room is usually filled with the sound of dozens of clocks all ticking at slightly different times. It can be a little distracting if you aren’t used to it, but after an hour, you don’t even hear it anymore. We have these large windows that let in a lot of light, which helps when you are looking at the small gears inside a movement. The walls are mostly covered in different styles of wall clocks, from the plain ones to the ones with more decoration. We spend a lot of time unpacking shipments and checking that the hands move correctly before they go on the shelf. The desk is always messy with papers and stray batteries that seem to roll everywhere. It’s a practical setup, nothing too stylish. We have a small kettle in the corner for making tea during the mid-morning break. Most people who find their way to Harinagar Tower Road are looking for something specific for their house. We just show them what’s available on the racks. The floor is easy to sweep, which is good because we get a lot of dust coming in from the road. It’s a quiet enough life, just managing the inventory and making sure the quartz movements are doing what they should. We stay until the sun goes down over the road.
