Saree Dot Com India

Saree Dot Com India is located at No. 1002 in City Light. It is a place where we handle a lot of different fabrics and clothes every day. When you come into the space, you see stacks of sarees everywhere. We spend most of our time sorting through colors and checking the work on the borders. It’s a lot of physical work, moving the heavy bundles around. City Light is a busy area, so we get a lot of people stopping by to see what is new. We aren't a big corporation with a lot of rules; it’s just us working with the material. Sometimes the floor is covered in thread and scraps, but that’s just part of the job. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and models. It’s more of a practical setup where we can get the orders ready. We talk to the weavers and the people who do the embroidery to make sure everything is okay. Some days are slow and we just sit and fold things, and other days everyone is rushing to get a shipment out. It’s just a regular shop where we focus on the clothes and nothing else. We know a lot about the different types of silk and cotton because we see it every day. It’s a simple way to spend the day, working with something we know well.
