Chandarana Tyres & Oil Centre

Our shop is over on Una Pani Road, tucked into the Hotel Satkar Building. If you're around the Surat Ho area, you've probably driven past us a dozen times without thinking much of it. We deal with tires and oil all day long, so things can get a bit messy. The floors usually have a bit of a sheen to them and there’s always that smell of rubber in the air. We’ve been here at Chandarana Tyres & Oil Centre for quite some time now. It’s a practical kind of place. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. Mostly it's just stacks of tires and containers of oil everywhere you look. The traffic on Una Pani Road is constant, so there’s always someone pulling in because they noticed a leak or their tires look a bit thin. We spend a lot of time on our knees checking things out or hauling heavy stuff around. It gets hot in Surat, so we usually have a fan going, but it doesn't do much against the humidity. We just take it one job at a time. The regulars know where to find us in the building. It’s not a complicated setup. We open up early, drink some tea, and then start the work. It’s a simple life, really. Just keeping cars and bikes moving so people can get to where they're going. That's about it. We’re just people doing a job on Una Pani Road.
